Ch. 203Personality Bloom X A-Rank Dawn

Kevin watched the Personality Seed bloom into a multicolored flower and discovered its petal could combine with the Resentment Snake Pearl and Crow Heart in an A-Rank potion. After learning the Phantom Troupe had massacred an exhibition’s staff and security, he questioned Shalnark about the group and learned she had seen its leader, Chrollo.

  • Rosana spent time with Melusina, Basho, and Gowen while Kurapika and the others continued advancing through Greed Island with ninety-seven cards.
  • Kevin’s Personality Seed absorbed his Nen Aura and bloomed into a huge, multicolored flower, which he identified as B-Rank material.
  • Kevin used a petal with the Resentment Snake Pearl and Crow Heart in the Alchemy Table and found that the materials were compatible for an A-Rank potion.
  • The news reported that the Phantom Troupe had stolen every treasure from an exhibition and killed more than three hundred people.
  • Kevin asked Shalnark about the Phantom Troupe, and she said Chrollo had recruited people in Meteor City a year or two earlier and that she had seen him.

Ch. 204Clear X Update

Kurapika’s group collected the ninety-ninth Specified Card, won the quiz tournament, and received the final card and their game-clear reward. The celebration marked the end of the game’s current cycle, while Kevin learned that it would be updated and reopened in six months to a year.

  • Kurapika gave the elder the life seeds, which restored the forest and produced the ninety-ninth Specified Card, One-Acre Dense Forest.
  • After Nion added the card to her book, the game announced a quiz tournament; Kurapika scored 96 points and won the Ruler’s Blessing.
  • Kurapika received the Ruler’s Invitation and met the game’s creators, Duen and Lister, who gave him the card and a box allowing him to take three Specified Cards into the real world.
  • Players and NPCs celebrated Kurapika’s game clear in the city beneath the Castle, while Kevin spoke with Duen about the game’s future.
  • Duen told Kevin that the game would be adjusted and restarted after six months to a year, with changes to card conditions and rules intended to prevent cheating and player violence.

Ch. 205Reward: XA Drug

Kevin and the others chose three cards after clearing the game, then returned to the Manor, where Kevin used the Seven Dwarfs to help with potion research and created his first A-Rank potion. After hearing news about the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika and Pairo worried about their lack of combat experience, so Kevin sent them to train at the Sky Arena.

  • Kurapika chose the Witch's Youth Restoring Potion, Nion chose the Scented Hair Girl for her father, and Kevin chose the Seven Dwarfs to help with his work.
  • The group left the game after nearly five months, reunited with their families at the Manor, and Nion gave Light the Scented Hair Girl.
  • Kevin used the Seven Dwarfs to process materials and help make potions while he slept, and their Nen use helped raise his Nen capacity to 110,000.
  • Kevin used Surging Potion to create an A-Rank potion whose effects were still unknown, then sealed it away after recovering from the strenuous process.
  • Kurapika and Pairo regretted their lack of experience against Nen users after hearing news about the Phantom Troupe, so Kevin advised them to fight their way to the Sky Arena's 200th Floor and train there.

Ch. 206God Text and A-Rank Ability

Kurapika and Pairo left for Sky Arena to improve their strength, while Kevin tested his knowledge of God Text and then used an A-Rank medicine. He discovered that the medicine let him strengthen or strip away Resentment, though strengthening the Golden Dagger also gave it harmful side effects.

  • Kurapika and Pairo boarded an Airship to Sky Arena after Kevin estimated their trip would take a little over two months, and Nion decided not to join them.
  • Kevin and Melusina inscribed God Text around a study to imitate the Learning Bone Fragment's effect, and Melusina suggested visiting Ruins recorded in the Record Book.
  • Kevin paused his pharmaceutical research and prepared alone in the Training Ground before injecting the A-Rank medicine.
  • Kevin discovered that the medicine let him feed his Aura into Resentment to strengthen it or weaken and strip it away.
  • Kevin tested the strengthening effect on the Golden Dagger and found that it increased the dagger's power but introduced side effects.

Ch. 207Four Battles X Fruit

Pairo and Kurapika gained combat experience at Sky Arena while winning four matches each. After Pairo defeated a wrestler, the boys encountered Hisoka, who became fixated on them.

  • Pairo used a feint and a kick to knock out his wrestler opponent and win his fourth match.
  • Kurapika praised Pairo’s final move, and the boys discussed how their Sky Arena battles had improved their combat skills.
  • Pairo suggested they might soon leave Sky Arena, while Kurapika revealed that he had registered for a fifth match the next day.
  • Hisoka stopped the boys in the corridor and introduced himself, but Pairo and Kurapika rejected his attempt to get acquainted.
  • After the boys walked away, Hisoka watched them leave and called them enticing fruit.

Ch. 209Refusal X Reputation

Kurapika and Pairo left Sky Arena after refusing Hisoka’s challenge, while Illumi told Hisoka about the Phantom Troupe and warned him away from Kevin’s family. Hisoka ignored the warning and followed the pair, with Illumi trailing to observe Kevin.

  • Kurapika won his fifth Sky Arena match by choking his opponent with his Chain, then left with Pairo.
  • Hisoka introduced himself to Pairo and Kurapika, asked them to fight him, and was refused as they prepared to return home.
  • Illumi met Hisoka and sold him information about the Phantom Troupe, including that its team was short-handed and its leader was Hisoka’s target.
  • Illumi refused to help Hisoka separate Kurapika and Pairo, explaining that they were clients connected to his family’s protected business.
  • Illumi warned Hisoka not to approach Kevin’s family and described Kevin as a formidable young fighter, but Hisoka followed the pair anyway.
  • Illumi followed Hisoka to observe Kevin and gather intelligence.

Ch. 210Defeating Hisoka X A Distant Journey

Kevin met Kurapika and Pairo at an airport after Nion’s prophecy warned that someone was targeting them, then defeated Hisoka in a brief fight. He left with Melusina to tour Ruins, hoping to find materials he had dreamed of obtaining.

  • Kevin gave Kurapika Nion’s prophecy, and Kurapika realized she had made it because she missed him while they were apart.
  • Hisoka and Illumi arrived, and Hisoka challenged Kevin after saying he wanted to fight Kurapika and Pairo.
  • Kevin overwhelmed Hisoka with a few attacks, leaving him badly injured, then boarded the airship with Kurapika and the others.
  • Illumi used two potions to treat Hisoka, who admitted he had been completely outmatched.
  • Kevin told Kurapika and Pairo that he and Melusina were traveling to tour Ruins after Nion’s fortune predicted they would find something they had dreamed of there.

Ch. 211Strange Prophecy X Within the Ruins

Kevin and Melusina traveled to a remote, half-buried ruin that Vipera’s Record Book linked to the Dark Continent, following a prophecy that promised a long-dreamed-of discovery. After examining murals of humanity’s ancestors fleeing the Dark Continent, they found an oddly pristine stone pillar, which lit up when Kevin blew dust from it.

  • Kevin and Melusina reviewed the prophecy and their records, then flew toward a remote ruin marked in Vipera’s Record Book and Spiral’s files.
  • They traveled by car and on foot to reach the mountain ruin, bringing supplies and taking precautions as the prophecy advised.
  • Inside the ruin, they examined murals that appeared to show humanity’s ancestors escaping the Dark Continent and settling in a new land.
  • Kevin and Melusina found a square stone pillar covered in writing that Kevin could only partly recognize.
  • Kevin blew dust from the pillar with Nen Aura, and the stone pillar lit up.

Ch. 212Black Hole Appears × A Strange Land

A mysterious Black Hole pulled Kevin and Melusina from the Ruins into an unfamiliar forest. They survived the journey and began preparing to learn where they were, sheltering beside a huge boulder as darkness approached.

  • A Stone Pillar activated, binding Kevin, Melusina, and her Nen Beasts with Chains before opening a Black Hole that swallowed Kevin and Melusina.
  • Kevin and Melusina emerged in a dense forest, where Kevin found them unharmed and Melusina's Nen Beasts returned to her as Aura.
  • Kevin and Melusina gathered their scattered supplies and reasoned that the Prophecy Poem had warned them to prepare for being thrown into an unfamiliar place.
  • Kevin noticed that he recognized few of the forest plants and that familiar trees had grown to enormous sizes.
  • As darkness approached, Kevin and Melusina found a sheltered depression beside a huge boulder where they could set up a tent.

Ch. 213Terrifying Upon Reflection X Lethal Zone

Kevin and Melusina built a shelter in an unknown place, where the stars led Kevin to fear they might be on the Dark Continent. Back at Nosra Manor, Rosana showed Kurapika and Pairo that Kevin and Melusina’s danger readings had entered the lethal range.

  • Kevin and Melusina made a concealed shelter, found that Kevin’s phone had no signal, and rationed their food without lighting a fire.
  • Kevin studied the stars and realized their positions had changed drastically, raising the possibility that they had been transported to the Dark Continent.
  • Kevin and Melusina discussed their chances of survival and decided to take turns resting while they checked their supplies.
  • At Nosra Manor, Pairo asked Kurapika about getting Hunter Licenses, and they agreed to wait until Kevin returned before deciding.
  • Rosana summoned Kurapika and Pairo to Home and showed them that Kevin and Melusina’s danger readings had reached the lethal mark.

Ch. 214Danger Scale Board X Rescue Squad

Rosana’s family discovered that Kevin and Melusina’s danger markers had reached the lethal range and organized a rescue effort after concluding they were trapped somewhere remote. They prepared to investigate the mountain ruins the next morning while waiting for midnight so Nion could make a new prophecy.

  • Kurapika, Pairo, and Rosana examined the Danger Scale Board and suspected Kevin and Melusina had entered a dangerous environment rather than a battle.
  • Kurapika asked Nion whether she had already made a prophecy for Kevin that month, and she confirmed she had.
  • Pairo learned from Hava that Kevin was at mountain ruins, while Gowen revealed his Nen connection told him Kevin was in danger.
  • Pairo and Gowen arranged for Kurapika, Gowen, and Goreinu to investigate the ruins the next morning, while the others prepared at the Manor.
  • Rosana, Nion, and Pairo waited until midnight, when Nion could make a new prophecy for Kevin.

Ch. 215The Unreadable Prophecy—Could It Be That Place?

Pairo interpreted Nion’s prophecy as a warning that Kevin and Melusina were trapped in an extraordinarily dangerous place, and Rosana confirmed she could not bring them back. In the Unknown region, Kevin and Melusina explored the giant forest, found a creek whose animal visitors had fled, and grew more certain they were on the Dark Continent.

  • Nion wrote a prophecy describing lethal conditions, scattered refuges, and strange rain clouds linked to an hourglass.
  • Pairo interpreted the poem as evidence that Kevin and Melusina had been exiled to a perilous place, while Rosana said her ability had failed to summon them home.
  • Kevin and Melusina emerged from their shelter after a tense night and explored the dense forest within a three-kilometer radius.
  • The pair found no signs of creatures in the forest and decided to search for a safe water source.
  • Kevin and Melusina found a creek five kilometers away, where fresh tracks showed that animals had fled before their arrival.
  • Kevin suspected they were on the Dark Continent and concluded they would need to adapt and become predators to survive; small creatures returned to the creek after they left.

Ch. 216External Aid X Wary Creatures

Pairo told Men Qi and Xiahara that Kevin and Melusina had vanished into an unusual, dangerous place, and the group investigated the ruins where they had last been seen. Kevin struggled to approach the wary creatures around him and began considering hunting stronger prey instead.

  • Pairo told Men Qi and Xiahara that Kevin and Melusina were missing but still alive, and that Rosana could not pull them back with her Nen ability.
  • Pairo explained that Kurapika had already taken people to the place where Kevin and Melusina disappeared, and the group watched through the manor’s equipment as Kurapika reported reaching the ruins.
  • Kurapika’s team recorded Kevin and Melusina’s fading footprints and found Kevin’s Document Bag beside a square stone pillar.
  • Kevin failed to catch a small creature because it sensed him and fled whenever he approached.
  • Kevin considered hunting less dangerous predators because he could not safely gather medicinal creatures or make medicine in the area.

Ch. 217Beast That Blotted Out the Sky X Why Us

Kevin and Melusina questioned whether they had been transported to the Dark Continent after a gigantic bird passed overhead. Late at night, Kevin sensed a butterfly nearby, rushed out of the shelter, and killed it.

  • Kevin hid in the Dense Forest as a colossal dark-red-feathered bird blotted out the sky and sent a gale tearing through the distant woods.
  • Kevin returned to the shelter, where Melusina checked him for injuries, and the two ate and discussed whether they were on the Dark Continent and why the Ruins had targeted them.
  • Kevin and Melusina went to sleep while the seven Dwarfs and a maid-type Nen Beast kept watch outside the shelter.
  • Kevin awoke at night, sensed a butterfly with Nen Aura beneath a giant tree, rushed outside, and killed it with a slap.
  • Melusina woke with a start from inside the shelter.

Ch. 218Passing Through the Gate of Hell X Mark

Kevin and Melusina discovered that they had been transported to the Dark Continent after a Butterfly nearly killed them in their shelter. At Nosra Manor, Pairo and the others investigated the Ruins where Kevin and Melusina disappeared, while Men Qi found something significant in an ancient Record Book.

  • Kevin examined the dead Butterfly and recognized it as a dangerous creature whose appearance and abilities were recorded in Vipera's Record Book.
  • Kevin and Melusina realized they had been thrown onto the Dark Continent and resolved to survive and find a way back.
  • At Nosra Manor, Pairo reported that traces in the Ruins showed six people had been pulled toward the altar's Square Stone Pillar.
  • Pairo explained that documents from the [Spiral] organization detailed the Ruins, which had been explored many times without previous disappearances.
  • Men Qi carefully read the ancient Record Book, then closed it after finding something that excited him.

Ch. 219The Impossible Possibility X The Reason

Men Qi and Buhara analyzed Kevin’s disappearance and explained why the Dark Continent was an almost impossible destination. Pairo then revealed a prophecy about Kevin, and Men Qi’s expression changed drastically after reading it.

  • Men Qi told the group that Kevin’s Record Book contained a Smuggling Route to the Dark Continent and information about an expedition there.
  • Buhara reasoned that Kevin had deliberately thrown out the Document Bag as he and the others were teleported away, either to guide their search or warn them.
  • Men Qi proposed asking the Hunter Association to locate Kevin and explained that the human world lay on an archipelago in Lake Mobius, with the Dark Continent beyond it.
  • Nion confirmed that she had read New World Travelogue with Melusina, and Men Qi said its contents were real and the book was forbidden.
  • Pairo revealed a prophecy he and Rosana had obtained after Kevin vanished, and Men Qi’s expression changed drastically after reading it.

Ch. 220Biscuit X Jin

After Pairo confirmed that Kevin and Melusina may have been sent to the Dark Continent, Biscuit contacted Jin for help. Jin recognized the connection he had suspected and set out with Kite, leaving for Nosra Manor.

  • Men Qi and Buhaci agreed that the Prophecy Poem indicated Kevin and Melusina were on the Dark Continent, and Men Qi said they needed an experienced Hunter's help.
  • Pairo sent Biscuit the prophecies, and Biscuit confirmed they pointed to the Dark Continent.
  • Biscuit ruled out asking Isaac Netero for help and called Jin, who immediately guessed the problem involved Kevin and the Dark Continent.
  • Biscuit gave Jin the address of Nosra Manor and headed there herself.
  • Jin told Kite to come with him somewhere interesting, and Kite agreed.

Ch. 221Where Am I X Parasites

Kevin and Melusina tried to survive in a seemingly safe area of the Dark Continent while planning how to locate the coast and find a way home. Their meal took a dangerous turn when Kevin discovered parasites inside his stomach.

  • Kevin fetched water from the creek and found Melusina had hunted a furry animal by using Zetsu to conceal herself.
  • Kevin and Melusina boiled water and discussed whether the Butterfly was local, then decided survival came first and planned to explore for the direction of the sea.
  • Kevin began feeling pain after eating and sensed thumb-sized parasites inside his stomach.
  • Melusina activated her Nen ability and pulled a vial of medicine from Kevin's waist.

Ch. 222Sharp-Tooth Parasites X Jin Arrives

Kevin survived an attack by Sharp-Tooth Parasites on the Dark Continent, identified how they spread, and prepared to leave with Melusina. At Nosra Manor, Jin arrived and explained that the Mountain Temple’s Exile function had sent Kevin and the others to the Dark Continent.

  • Kevin injected Digestion Potion and digested the parasites inside him, while Melusina reported no symptoms.
  • Kevin discovered that Sharp-Tooth Parasites spread through water as dormant eggs and could erupt in hosts with strong Nen reserves; he learned to find and destroy their eggs.
  • Kevin told Melusina he had found a direction toward the coast, and they planned to hunt for a few more days before setting out.
  • Jin arrived at Nosra Manor with Kite, questioned Biscuit about Kevin’s disappearance, and examined the prophecy and other evidence.
  • Jin identified the Ruins as the ancient center of human civilization and explained that the Mountain Temple had once used Exile as a punishment, sending nobles back to their place of origin.

Ch. 223The Way Back X Peril on All Sides

Jin deduced how Kevin and Melusina had been sent to the Dark Continent and concluded that Rosana’s Nen ability could bring them back when they faced mortal danger. Meanwhile, Kevin and Melusina left their safe shelter and were swallowed by a vast creature hidden beneath the forest floor.

  • Jin explained that Kevin and Melusina had absorbed the Resentful Serpent’s Nen Aura and were consequently classified as Dark Continent creatures and exiled.
  • Jin told Biscuit, Pairo, and Rosana that no immediate return was possible, but Rosana’s Home ability could save Kevin and Melusina once they faced mortal danger, possibly at the cost of her lifespan.
  • Jin took the Record Book and other documents as payment and went to the Manor’s study to examine them.
  • Kevin and Melusina left their safe shelter, entered the Giant Tree Forest in Zetsu, and encountered a strange emerald-green bird.
  • Little Red attacked a giant dragonfly-like insect, but its poisonous tentacles corroded her Nen Aura; Kevin wounded the insect before danger forced him to retreat with Melusina.
  • Kevin sensed a creature beneath the ground as the earth opened and swallowed the insect, the surrounding creatures, and Kevin and Melusina, who were enveloped by pink power.
