"Forget it. I'm going back first. Don't go running your mouth, all right?" Once he realized his previous plan had failed, Constantine fell silent for a while, then looked at Werewolf Knight and gave him a warning.
With a soft hiss, Constantine opened a Portal and left, leaving Werewolf Knight utterly baffled, with no idea what Constantine's whole performance had been about.
"Could it be? He wants me to let a little information about him slip? But why didn't he just say so?" After a long while, Werewolf Knight looked hesitantly at the Portal where Constantine had vanished and muttered.
"Is saying it outright really that hard? This is just making things difficult for me. If it weren't for that dark creature you prepared, kid, I definitely wouldn't help you!"
Werewolf Knight had not thought of that at first either. The main reason was that he did not believe Constantine, after his plan had failed, would actually refrain from taking back the reward he had paid in advance. That did not fit Constantine's character at all.
So after thinking it over some more, Werewolf Knight finally arrived at this possibility and decided to help Constantine again. But if Constantine had not meant that, Werewolf Knight could use this action as an explanation and refuse to return the original reward.
And Werewolf Knight's reaction at that moment was actually within Constantine's expectations. Everything he had done was merely to draw Robet to Kamar-Taj and let Doom's situation expose itself. When the time came, it would have nothing to do with him, Constantine.
