"Waaah!" Seeing Brayden send him flying with a kick and then charge straight toward Ron and the others, the utterly ignored Joe burst into tears, making Brayden's figure falter despite himself. He turned back and stared at Joe in blank confusion.

But then again, Joe might have awakened his Kryptonian power, but he was still only a three-year-old child. It was perfectly normal for him to be unable to hold back after feeling wronged.
