The Seven Fairies gathered around the birdcage in Second Princess Tianyang's hands, looking it over from every angle.

"Why is this little bird golden?" the Third Princess asked curiously.

"Exactly. What a pretty little bird." The Fourth Princess leaned in as though she had discovered something rare, unable to resist reaching out to poke it.

The little bird in the cage merely looked cold and indifferent, showing no reaction at all. It even seemed slightly displeased, flapped its wings once, and hopped to another spot in the cage.

Seeing Zhang Yifan leave to cook, the Queen Mother wore a smile as well. This first meeting with her father-in-law could be considered a successful one.

At the very least, she had not left him with any bad impression.

"What are you girls looking at? Let Mother have a look." Seeing her daughters chirping around the birdcage, the Queen Mother curiously came over as well.
