Big Brother Leiyin

Leiyin walking across the sea as if it were flat ground had already been shocking enough for Joseph and Johnny.

But Leiyin's Great Ball Rasengan was practically synonymous with destruction. The moment he used it, Krieg's warship exploded into flying scraps of metal and splintered wood, leaving the two even more stunned.

A few days earlier, the two had just been attacked by Krieg's fleet and nearly died. Leiyin had not only avenged them but also helped them vent their pent-up rage. Combined with the incredible strength he had displayed, this caused the same decision to sprout in both their hearts.

When Leiyin triumphantly returned to the ship from the surface of the sea, he saw the two prostrating themselves on the deck. Johnny was the first to speak. "Big Brother, your strength has won our wholehearted admiration."

Joseph continued, "So please allow us to address you as Big Brother. May we know your honored name?"

Big Brother?

A line of black appeared across Leiyin's forehead. "M-My name is Leiyin."

Then Joseph grabbed the left leg of Leiyin's trousers. "Big Brother Leiyin! Not only are you incredibly strong, you also avenged us. I've been a bounty hunter for so many years, but I've never met anyone like you."

Johnny grabbed the right leg of Leiyin's trousers and began crying theatrically. "Big Brother, please take us on as your underlings!"

"Hey, you two are so noisy. Let go already—I can't even walk."

Unable to shake them off, Leiyin had no choice but to agree.

At that moment, Joseph and Johnny stood on either side of Leiyin. The characters for "sea" and "pirate," along with the two curved swords at their waists, made them look remarkably symmetrical.

"My name is Joseph."

"My name is Johnny."

The two said in unison, "We're bounty hunters from the East Blue. Please look after us, Big Brother!"

The black lines on Leiyin's forehead multiplied. "Oh, sure, sure."

These two are exactly as ridiculous as they were in the original story. They really do love acknowledging big brothers. Leiyin shook his head with a wry smile.

The ship set off again, and the three began chatting aboard it.

Joseph said, "Big Brother, all we know is that your name is Leiyin. Just who are you?"

Seeing the superhuman strength Leiyin had displayed, the two knew he was no ordinary person, so they asked out of curiosity.

Leiyin rested his hands behind his head. "I suppose you could say I'm a bounty hunter now. Oh, right—do you know where the nearest Marine base is?"

Although Leiyin had a nautical chart and a Log Pose given to him by Village Chief Farmer, the Log Pose had to finish recording an island before it could point toward the next one. He was eager to exchange his bounties for money and improve his strength, so he had not stopped to rest even when passing several uninhabited islands. These two were bounty hunters right in front of him, so Leiyin figured they would naturally know the Marine bases like the backs of their hands.

Joseph said, "It should be Shelz Town."

"Shelz Town?"

At those words, Leiyin thought for a moment before remembering.

In the original story, it was the first Marine base Luffy entered after setting out to sea. The highest-ranking officer stationed in the town was Monka, the colonel of Marine 153rd Branch, known as the Axeman.

Of course, judging by the current timeline, Shelz Town's colonel certainly was not Monka yet.

Joseph added, "Big Brother, are we going there now?"

Leiyin nodded.

Johnny thought for a moment before asking, "Big Brother, do you have any wanted criminals whose bounties you want to collect?"

"Yes."

Johnny was once again filled with confusion. "But we didn't see you holding any pirates. Could they be locked in the ship's hold?"

Leiyin could not be bothered to explain further. "You'll know when we get there."

Hearing him say that, the two did not ask anything else.

A day later, the three arrived at their destination—Shelz Town.

Leiyin had originally assumed that Shelz Town would be small because it was mainly a Marine garrison. Only after arriving did he realize that it was even smaller than he had imagined.

After disembarking, Leiyin showed no intention of stopping. He headed straight for the Marine base, with Joseph and Johnny naturally following behind him.

At the entrance of the Marine base stood four guards. When the three tried to enter, all four Marines raised their muskets and aimed them at the group.

"Who are you?"

Joseph said, "Marine, we're bounty hunters. We caught some pirates and came here to collect their bounties. Please do us a favor and let us in."

One of the Marines, a Private First Class with a higher rank than the others, said, "Then where are the pirates you caught?"

The three had not brought a single living pirate in chains. They did not even have a corpse. How could anyone believe them?

Joseph and Johnny exchanged a glance, then focused their eyes on Leiyin.

Leiyin merely said, "Let me in, and I'll show you."

While the two sides were deadlocked, an officer walked out from inside.

Seeing the scene, the officer could not help asking, "What's going on here?"

The four soldiers snapped to attention and saluted him. The Private First Class said, "Sergeant Monka, these three unknown individuals claim to be bounty hunters and say they want to collect a bounty."

This officer was none other than Monka, who at this point was still an obscure Staff Sergeant. Leiyin looked him over as well. Monka's lower jaw had not yet been crushed by Kuro of the Hundred Plans.

Unexpectedly, Monka said, "Let them in."

The answer surprised Leiyin. In his memory, Monka was not an easygoing man, yet he had allowed them inside without a hitch.

In truth, Monka was no fool. Since the three had no wanted pirates in their hands, if they could not produce anyone when the formalities began, he could execute them all for "defrauding the Marines." Monka was savage and brutal by nature. Though he had no grudge against the three, killing people and seeing blood could satisfy his bloodthirsty excitement.

At last, they met the colonel of Marine 153rd Branch, a refined, middle-aged man wearing glasses.

Naturally, collecting a bounty required the colonel's signature and approval.

When the Marines asked him to produce the pirates, and Monka stood to the side waiting to see them make fools of themselves, Leiyin remained completely calm. Two scrolls appeared in his left and right hands at the same time, and he unfurled them onto the ground. With a light tap, two corpses appeared on the scrolls.

While everyone stared in astonishment, a Marine sergeant shuffled through a stack of wanted posters and carefully compared them with the corpses.

"The one on the left is Andrin, vice captain of the Evil Wolf Pirates. His bounty is five million Beli."

"And the one on the right is Anderson, captain of the Evil Wolf Pirates. His bounty is ten million Beli!"

Even as the sergeant read out the names and bounties of the two corpses, his face was full of astonishment.

He could not help looking at Leiyin, the man who had killed the two wanted criminals.
