Lone Six-Eyed Bear

Setsuno's underground dining hall.

The space below was astonishingly vast, like an underground workshop large enough for ten thousand people. On both sides stood many enormous glass display cases cut into sections.

Near the ceiling, there was also a long footbridge.

"Grandma Setsuno, is this where you prepare your ingredients?" Natalie asked despite herself.

Grandma Setsuno glanced at her. "Little Natalie, I think you should know this very well. The foundation of completed cuisine is the preparation of its ingredients. Although this kitchen is underground, where the guests can't see it, it's an important place that supports the restaurant's reputation. Normally, no one except an assistant is allowed in here."

Hearing this, Natalie looked grateful. "Thank you, Grandma Setsuno. Thank you for treating us so well and even letting us visit your kitchen and ingredient room."

After saying this, however, she sensed that something was wrong on her right. When she turned to look, two gray bears with six eyes suddenly lunged at the glass from inside the display case.

"Whoa! What is that?!"

Natalie's feet slipped in fright, and she was about to fall off the bridge when Leiyin grabbed her.

The monsters of the Gourmet World were strange in all kinds of ways, and it was normal for some of them to look ferocious. Still, this one was genuinely terrifying, startling Natalie so badly that she staggered.

"Little Natalie, don't worry. The glass in these display cases is made of super-tempered glass. Monsters of their level can't break through it," Grandma Setsuno said.

Natalie said, "I know that, but they're still terrifying to look at. Um, what are they?"

Leiyin thought for a moment. "They should be called Lone Six-Eyed Grizzly Bears, right?"

Grandma Setsuno said, "Little Lei, you're right. Normally, their meat is extremely tough and inedible.
