The Food God and the White Birdman

Inside the great hall a thousand meters beneath the Gourmet Pyramid.

"Don't bother worrying about me. Just plug your ears!" Zebra said in a muffled voice as he took a deep breath. "Sonic Rocket Cannon!"

He roared, and powerful sound waves surged in all directions. Natalie put down her book and covered her ears, while Leiyin sealed his ears with chakra. The sound waves slammed straight into the Salamander Sphinx.

"Roarrr!"

The magical beast let out a thunderous roar in response to the attack, yet its body seemed completely unharmed. Apparently enraged, it swung both claws from side to side, sending sharp blades of air rushing forward.

Leiyin vanished in a body flicker and created three Shadow Clones to shield Natalie from harm. The ground was sliced apart by the blades of air, sending rubble flying.

"Ah!" Zebra was not so lucky. He raised both arms to protect himself, but they were slashed open, and blood sprayed out.

"Please shave off some of the scales on its back!" Natalie shouted as she looked at the recipe instructions.

Zebra did not stop attacking despite the wounds on his arms. He tapped the ground and leaped into the air, his right arm covered in sound waves. "Sonic Wave Blade Slash!"

Perhaps the earlier Sonic Rocket Cannon had had some effect. The blade of air shot forward and, sure enough, shaved off a few scales from the Salamander Sphinx's back.

"Next, pluck two feathers from its wings!" Natalie continued, telling Zebra what the book instructed.

Upon hearing her, Zebra leaped onto the Salamander Sphinx's back at top speed and swiftly plucked out the feathers.

"Hissss!" The magical beast let out a low, muffled growl, and liquid began to swirl in its eyes.
