After Leiyin and the others made their way through the somewhat dim corridor, they officially arrived at the VIP area of Gourmet Gambling City's Desire Maze.

However, the scene before them gave Natalie quite a fright. Just after they entered, a burly, rough-looking man with a savage and terrified expression had vomited blood and repeatedly cried that he did not want to die before collapsing to the ground.

Leiyin, Machi, and the others paid little attention to this. They were merely gazing at the even more bustling scene beyond the great curtain.

In the very center of the enormous hall stood a massive structure resembling an ancient Roman Colosseum. The surrounding seats were packed with spectators, while a small body of water lay in the middle. Countless fierce, savage man-eating fish swam through it, and people were locked inside iron cages.

That was not all. Nearby was also a long corridor sealed with specially made glass. The glass was extraordinarily sturdy, and the far end of the corridor connected to a beast cage. Gamblers could either fight the ferocious beasts released at random or find a way to escape.

There was another attraction as well: a long dining table with more than a dozen diners seated before it. Food was placed in front of them for tasting. But things were far from that simple, because some of the food was poisonous. These diners were gamblers, and the slightest carelessness could cause them to eat poisoned food and die on the spot.
