In West City, at Bulma's home.

Just as Bulma was smugly showing off her high technology, an unfeeling foot in a high heel stomped down on her.

Leiyin and Kid Goku mourned for her for three seconds.

"Ha, you must be Leiyin and Goku, right? Bulma mentions you two all the time. Hello, I'm her mother." At that moment, a golden-haired woman carrying two cups of hot tea walked over to them.

She was Dr. Brief's wife and Bulma's mother, Mrs. Brief.

Bulma, who was under Mrs. Brief's foot, suddenly grew larger, startling her. "Daughter, how did you end up under my foot?"

Hearing that, Bulma's teeth sharpened as she loudly protested, "You were the one who stepped on me!"

Mrs. Brief retorted, "You became so small. How could I possibly have seen you?"

Bulma still looked like a willful princess. "But you can't just barge in out of nowhere!"

Mrs. Brief continued smiling. "I'm terribly sorry. My daughter has always had such a fiery temper. Leiyin, Kid Goku, here, have some hot tea."

Hearing that, Bulma grew even angrier. "Mom, isn't it rude of you to say that about me?"

Mrs. Brief's smile did not falter as she said to everyone, "Bulma is going through her rebellious phase right now. I hope you won't take it personally."

Bulma vigorously tugged at her own hair, looking as though she had nowhere to vent her anger.

Just then, Leiyin seemed to think of something and asked, "By the way, where did Yamcha and Oolong go?"

At that, Bulma's expression became even uglier.

Mrs. Brief told them, "Oolong, Puar, and Yamcha all went to school. That Yamcha is far too handsome, and the girls adore him. Bulma gets terribly jealous, and she even had a huge fight with Yamcha."
