Marineford, Marine Headquarters.
Inside Victor's office.
Leight walked over to Victor and said, "Senior, Sengoku met with Kizaru."
"He probably wants Kizaru to handle Tiger's affairs."
Victor spoke calmly.
Kizaru had always followed Sengoku.
However, Kizaru was usually not well regarded.
Perhaps it was because he looked too sleazy?
Perhaps it was because Zephyr disliked him.
In any case, whenever Sengoku had something good, he thought of Aokiji first. His attitude toward Kizaru was rather ordinary.
However, Aokiji's laid-back attitude—and the fact that he had failed to cause Victor any trouble during the mission to capture Golden Lion—meant that Sengoku began using Kizaru again.
Kizaru had entered the Marines in the same class as Victor and Akainu, and he was one of the Three Elites.
Perhaps using Kizaru would produce a different result.
In any case, Sengoku had his own plans.
"Let him see him."
Victor did not care.
"What if Kizaru gets there first?"
Leight was somewhat worried.
Victor asked in return, "Do you think he can get there first?"
"Well..." Leight could not say. He did not know Kizaru very well.
More precisely, Kizaru had always kept a low profile at Headquarters, merely completing missions according to his superiors' orders.
He had never complained about his work.
No matter what mission he was assigned, Kizaru accepted it and completed it.
As a result, most Marines did not have a deep impression of Kizaru and knew little about his character or abilities.
"It doesn't matter."
Victor said indifferently, "There are no secrets from me where he's concerned."
Leight froze for a moment.
G-2 Branch Base, commander's office.
After returning to his office, Kizaru sent for Major General Kadar.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Come in."
Kizaru called toward the door.
Major General Kadar walked in.
"Commander." Major General Kadar saluted Kizaru.
