The powerful penetrating force of the bolts was something even the thick-skinned, heavily built greenskin soldiers could not withstand head-on.
The Great Zhou Crossbow Soldier Unit and the Smith Crossbow Soldier Unit were positioned on the two sides of the outer perimeter. Facing the charging greenskin army, they formed a fan counter-envelopment formation and launched a crossfire.
As the crossbow soldiers unleashed their full firepower, the Great Zhou reinforcements did not dawdle either. They immediately followed up, pushing out demolition vehicles one after another at the fastest possible speed.
Judging by their firing range, the demolition vehicles should have fired first. However, the rapidly changing situation before them had caused a slight disruption.
It did not matter much, though. The demolition troops adjusted the demolition vehicles and loaded the demolition bombs at top speed. Then, without needing any orders, they hurled the demolition bombs out as quickly as possible.
The demolition bombs arced through the sky in long parabolas before plunging into the densely packed greenskin formation. The instant they hit the ground, they exploded with a loud bang!
The blast, mixed with flying shrapnel, instantly blew the greenskin soldiers within range into a bloody mess.
"WAAAAGH! Spread out! Everyone, spread out!! WAAAAGH!!!"
They were truly far too familiar with these demolition bombs. Nowadays, merely hearing that sound was enough to send their blood pressure soaring and make them wish they could immediately perish together with the enemy!
Of course, none of that fell within the considerations of the Great Zhou demolition troops.
Their task now was to throw out as many demolition bombs as possible in the shortest amount of time, inflicting the greatest casualties on the greenskins before the two sides closed
