A strange cavalry unit began prowling along the border. They had wolf heads and humanoid bodies, the classic appearance of orcs. Even the mounts beneath them were enormous, burly wolves.

They carried all kinds of weapons—sabers, spears, swords, halberds, and more. Their armor consisted mainly of leather, but there was no uniformity to it. It was a motley assortment, with everything from old and battered pieces to whatever else they could find. There was not a single new item.

These were another of the former Goblin Kingdom's neighbors. More accurately, these orcs could not be considered a country. They were made up of countless orc tribes, which the Goblin Kingdom called the "Orc Alliance."

Back then, resources within the Goblin Kingdom had been scarce. The goblins had wanted to expand into new territory, successively encountering the Elf race and Great Zhou, only to be wiped out in the end. Yet they had never considered fighting the Orc Alliance. Naturally, they had their reasons.

The main reason was that the Orc Alliance was even poorer than they were. Those fellows obtained resources—and even most of their food—by robbing others.

Under such circumstances, the orcs themselves were not easy to deal with.

Strictly speaking, it was only after this that they went on to fight the Elf race and Great Zhou. The order could not be mixed up.
