The elves from Elf Forest going to Great Zhou to work and live there was no longer anything unusual within Elf Forest itself.
They basically only needed to fill out a form at the registration window and complete the registration. Great Zhou generally would not refuse them, while Elf Forest would not hold anyone back either.
However, a whole family like Jeni's moving there together was something that had never happened before, so the staff member arranging things on Elf Forest's side could not help asking,
"Are your whole family moving to Great Zhou?"
"Yes, that's right."
Jeni had clearly sorted out his thoughts long ago, and he handled these questions with ease.
"My parents and I are all going to work in Great Zhou, but if we do that, there'll be no one left in the forest to care for my grandparents. They're getting on in years, after all, so we're planning to take them with us to Great Zhou. That'll make it more convenient to look after them day to day."
Hmm. It made perfect sense, so the staff member did not think much of it and approved them directly.
They had already rented a new place in the city. During his day off the previous week, Jeni had specifically hired people to send some of the larger pieces of furniture they wanted to take along to the new home.
At this point, the five members of the family did not need to bring much with them. Three suitcases and three backpacks were enough to hold everything.
At first, Jeni had thought that they might as well leave some things behind in the old house in the village and simply buy new ones in the city, then come back and sort through everything when they had the time.
