Chapter 895: Smiling Without Saying a Word
The Wood Elves and Great Zhou had now established an even closer connection.
For the convenience of transportation between the two places, while also considering the ease of daily purchasing and deliveries, Great Zhou sincerely suggested that the Wood Elves build a stretch of road outside the village.
The road would not be long. It would simply extend from the transport route leading to their Great Zhou mine and run all the way to the village entrance.
That way, whenever horse-drawn carts needed to head to the Wood Elf village, they could go straight there without detours. This would undoubtedly make their daily outings and the transport of purchased goods far more convenient—and, incidentally, help empty the Wood Elves' savings a little further.

Whenever you go out to buy supplies, after bringing them back, don't you still have to hire people to carry them the rest of the way? Wouldn't that cost money too?"
"But if you build a road, it'll be a once-and-for-all solution. When the time comes, the delivery carts can drive straight to your village entrance. Once they reach the entrance, there won't be far left to go. You can just shift the goods off the cart yourselves, and that'll be that. When you count it all up, you'll save countless carrying fees!"
Locke normally never gave this matter much thought,
