"You remembered all those friends around you, but don't tell me you've forgotten that girl Qingcheng?" Xiang Kuang's expression softened, then darkened again. His gaze toward Lu Xiaotian suddenly turned unfriendly.
"Of course I haven't forgotten her. Did something happen to Qingcheng?" Lu Xiaotian asked with a frown. He wasn't about to be intimidated by Xiang Kuang.
"You've got some nerve saying that. Back then, you slipped through the teleportation array at the Lake of No Harm without a word and fled into that perilous place. That girl Qingcheng personally entered the array to look for you." Xiang Kuang snorted.
"What? Why would Qingcheng recklessly enter the teleportation array? Didn't she know how dangerous it was inside?" Lu Xiaotian's expression changed abruptly. He knew better than anyone how powerful the sword embryo left behind by the Venerable of the Misty Hall was. He didn't know exactly how powerful it had become, but no one below Spirit Transformation could possibly stand against it. With Xiang Qingcheng's strength at the time, entering the Misty Hall meant certain death or grave injury!
"Don't play dumb with me. You know how that girl Qingcheng feels about you, don't you?" Xiang Kuang snorted.
"Of course I know. It's just that I can handle most things, but when it comes to feelings, it's a tangled mess. I don't know what to do about Qingcheng." Lu Xiaotian gave a bitter smile. Keeping all this bottled up was a burden. For some reason, though, he was willing to talk to someone as eccentric as Xiang Kuang. He told him about Luo Ping'er in broad strokes, and even mentioned, briefly, what had happened with Luo Qing and Su Qing back in Wangyue. Once he'd said it all aloud, he felt much lighter.
"I wouldn't have guessed it. You're usually
