The Eight-Footed Demonic Ox-Demon wore an awkward look. "Brother Lu, I am not a human."
Lu Xiaotian looked the Eight-Footed Demonic Ox-Demon up and down. This fellow was still as asking for a beating as ever after so many years apart.
"Actually, it was also old ox's luck. After entering this realm back then, I muddled my way to the Susang Demon Sea. Later, I drifted about, and along the way, I defected to more than a dozen factions, but they were all wiped out by other demons. Old ox saw the signs early and my luck was pretty good, so I managed to pick up my life."
The Eight-Footed Demonic Ox-Demon sighed two or three times in a single sentence.
"Later on, old ox really stepped into a major mess. Dozens of peers of the same realm chased and intercepted me all the way, and I somehow ended up in this Blood Nether Valley. This ghost place is easy to get into, but impossible to leave. The longer one stays here, the more blood mist is absorbed, making it even harder to leave. Old ox constantly has to fight the demons inside as well as outsiders."
"Right, Brother Lu, how did you get here? Have you bumped into any other old acquaintances over the years?" the Eight-Footed Demonic Ox-Demon asked again.
"Except for Xiang Qingcheng and Luo Ping'er, I've bumped into all the others," Lu Xiaotian said.
"Look at this mess. Brother Lu, you are going to have a hard time of it later." The Eight-Footed Demonic Ox-Demon looked quite gloating. Seeing Lu Xiaotian's expression turn gloomy, it corrected itself and said, "My meaning is that good things are hard won. Mhm, good things are hard won."
Upon hearing that the situations of Xiang
