A surge of spiritual energy churned in the void, and in the blink of an eye, a middle-aged woman in brown robes appeared. Her voice, however, was extremely old, a jarring contrast to her dignified, youthful appearance.
"Grandmother, what happened? Why would a mere Integrated Body Late Stage cultivator require you to appear in person?" Nan Xuanyu asked in surprise, looking at her grandmother.
"A mere Integrated Body Late Stage cultivator naturally wouldn't be enough to make me appear. Someone at my level, though, would. Our Mingshen Hall cannot involve itself in this matter. You are not to fight Fellow Daoist Ye again." The middle-aged woman's expression was calm. Her eyes rested solely on Nan Xuanyu; she didn't even glance at Lu Xiaotian and the others.
Lu Xiaotian's expression turned ugly. It seemed they were quite far from Mingshen Hall; this was only a projection of a Mahayana Realm expert. It had little ability to actually fight, but its deterrent power was extraordinary. Nan Xuanyu, warned by the projection, stared in shock at Ye Qianxun's Lotus Avatar, then glanced at Lu Xiaotian. "Fellow Daoist Xiang, you certainly have an extraordinary talent for causing trouble. I may love a fight, but I don't intend to court death. I'm afraid I can't help you."
Ye Qianxun's Lotus Avatar stood with his hands behind his back in the void, his expression unruffled. He seemed to have the situation firmly under control.
"Disciples of the Yuqing Immortal Palace, heed my command: do not interfere in Fellow Daoist Ye's affairs." Soon after the brown-robed middle-aged woman's projection vanished from the void, another projection—this one an imposing old man—coalesced in the air, the spiritual energy still lingering.
"Uncle Wushan! Just who is Senior Ye?" Simao Jiandao was startled by the influence Ye Qianxun's Lotus Avatar wielded.
