Lu Xiaotian's expression darkened. He led Ban Qianzhi and the other one away again. Wherever Yin Ghost Mandragora appeared, some exceptionally powerful, sinister ghost was sure to show up. They had no idea what they were looking for, and nothing worth fighting for, so rashly engaging powerful ghosts would clearly work against them.
Lu Xiaotian and the others had barely put some distance between themselves and the flowers when several more clusters of Yin Ghost Mandragora appeared behind them.
Lu Xiaotian swept the area with his spiritual sense and found that the flowers seemed to appear at random, but were actually arranged with careful purpose. In the void, the enormous blossoms formed the faint outline of a great formation, as though they had opened a portal in the air.
Wherever the Yin Ghost Mandragora bloomed, ripples spread through the air. A gigantic skeletal hand reached out from within, like the withered branch of an ancient ghost reaching up from the water.
Then a towering figure emerged, dozens of feet tall and clad in bone armor. A necklace made from all manner of bones hung around its neck, and a dark-blood-colored character for "Yin" marked the center of its forehead. In its hand, it held a great saber several times taller than its own body.
From its bone-white eye sockets, a pair of dark-red eyes swept over Lu Xiaotian and the others. Then came a long, thick bone saber. It cut through the void without a sound, its silence sending a chill down their spines.
Wherever the bone saber passed, clusters of Yin Ghost Mandragora bloomed. A whole field of ghostly flowers seemed to materialize from thin air, wave after wave surging toward them. Ban Qianzhi
