Lu Xiaotian rubbed the incomplete piece of green jade in his palm. Its texture was cool, even bone-chilling, and the carved patterns had grown indistinct. Only a massive ox-skull mark remained.
At first, Lu Xiaotian had thought the fragment of unknown material was simply a ghost jade with some unfathomable use. But the ox-skull mark carved into it had involuntarily brought to mind the entrance to this Land of Sinking Souls.

He put away the green jade fragment. A flash of gray light later, a jade-bone formation plate appeared in his hand. Nine points marked the plate, its array patterns profound and inscrutable.
