When Kongjie was cleaved in two by Lu Xiaotian's Sword Qi, his Primordial Spirit fled his body. Just as the two plainly dressed old monks, Kongming and Kong'e, arrived, they witnessed the moment Kongjie's body was cut down. Even these accomplished monks, whose hearts had long been as still as an ancient well, could not help showing grief.
Lu Xiaotian's gaze had cleared by then, and he felt helpless about the situation. What was done was done. Any explanation he could offer now would ring hollow to the two venerable monks, Kongming and Kong'e.

I did everything I could to suppress the sword embryo inside me, but it slipped beyond my control. Killing a senior monk of your sect was not my intention.
