Overpowering Them
Lu Xiaotian's form remained unchanged, but a pair of dragon horns sprouted from his forehead. Dragon scales appeared on his hands and face, yet he still retained his human shape, displaying only some of the dragon race's traits. He no longer transformed directly into a complete true-dragon body whenever he merged souls, as he had before.
After cultivating the Dragon Pearl, Lu Xiaotian had gained ever finer control over his dragon essence. He could command even the slightest change with ease.
Now that he had cultivated the Dragon Pearl, Lu Xiaotian no longer needed to transform fully into a true dragon to use his dragon essence. In his current state, he could wield many of the dragon race's powers. Though somewhat restricted, they were more than enough to handle the trouble before him.
After cultivating the Dragon Pearl, perhaps because his dragon essence had greatly advanced, or perhaps because of the pearl itself, Lu Xiaotian looked at Dushan, Xuanjing, and the other true immortals through the eyes of a true dragon. He found their Primordial Spirits weak. In his eyes, their flaws seemed to emerge into view. The feeling was not particularly strong, but it was real. Lu Xiaotian did not know why. Was it because his own Primordial Spirit was too powerful? Even that did not seem quite right. After all, whether he was in human form or dragon form, his Primordial Spirit remained unchanged; only his physical body changed.
Could it simply be that he was seeing things from a different perspective? Lu Xiaotian wondered, but for the moment, he had no way to verify it. No one could offer him any relevant experience, and his method of transforming into a dragon was rather unusual.
Flame Dragon and Qingming had both transformed from serpents into dragons.
