Besides being able to wield it himself, Lu Xiaotian had discovered another use for the power of the Dragon Wolf Totem: he could bestow it upon some of the wolf riders. These were either some of the highest-ranking wolf riders, Xuan Immortals such as Xuan Jing and Dushan, or members of the new generation who had been born inside the Green Fruit Barrier and worshiped Lu Xiaotian with an even greater fervor.
But the power of the Dragon Wolf Totem had not been cultivated by the wolf riders themselves. Once granted the totem's power, they could use it only for a short time, and afterward they would suffer a period of weakness. The same power of the Dragon Wolf Totem also manifested differently in different riders, and the severity of the aftereffects varied slightly as well.
After some experimentation, Lu Xiaotian also began refining his immortal essence repeatedly each day. Though refining it had nearly ground to a halt, with little progress to show, breaking through to the Heavenly Immortal stage in his immortal essence would let him suppress the dragon essence again, once he combined it with the spatial laws he had now comprehended. Then he could regain human form outside.
What left Lu Xiaotian somewhat disappointed was that, despite devoting considerable effort to his immortal essence every day, he had made very little progress.
Beyond his usual cultivation, what Lu Xiaotian did most was drag Ao Guang, Tuo Musheng, and the others into sparring matches, honing his true-dragon battle techniques. Without drawing the Fangtian Halberd or deliberately controlling the Green Fruit Barrier, he could already suppress several Heavenly Immortal-stage dragons, including Ao Guang and Tuo Musheng, using nothing but his true-dragon battle techniques.
