The once prosperous, bustling Weishan City now looked as if disaster had struck, with devastation everywhere. Lu Xiaotian and the thirteen dragons behind him, however, were completely unharmed.
Shao Qing stared at the wrecked city before him, his face ashen and his eyes filled with regret. Miao Qianmu's expression was just as grim. After Miao Qianmu had advanced to Heavenly Immortal, most of his immediate family and relatives had moved with him to a higher-grade immortal region. Still, some of them, along with more distant branches of the family, had remained in Weishan City. And this time, the entire Weishan Immortal Region had been swept by the Cloudsteel Sandstorm.
The immortal army led by the purple-armored man had been capable of crushing Shao Qing's forces as the battle wore on. Yet the Cloud Sand Golem army seemed in no hurry to wipe them out, merely circling and attacking that portion of the army. Shao Qing's forces managed to hold out until reinforcements arrived. But by then, fresh troops had also joined the Cloud Sand Golem army, forcing the reinforcements to continue calling for aid from Weishan City.
After this had happened once or twice, Shao Qing, Miao Qianmu, and the others all sensed something was wrong. But by the time word came from Weishan City, the city had already fallen. The Yu Xuan Immortal Army had been tricked by the Purple Sand Golem army's ruse of luring the tiger away from the mountain. Now the entire Weishan Immortal Region was riddled with wounds.
