The warm sunlight shone over the broad streets of Nine Central City. The streets of Nine Central City were as grand and spacious as ever, with various immortal plants scattered throughout, rising and falling in waves, while strands of white mist flowed among them. It looked like a land of immortals. Yet compared with the past, Nine Central City was clearly lacking some of its vitality.
Aside from a few main streets that remained bustling, the flow of people passing through Nine Central City had dropped by nearly half compared with before.
"Have you heard? Back then, our Nine Central City had an Eastern Alchemy Saint." Beneath a purple parasol tree, a bearded man poured immortal wine into his mouth. After a while, he let out a belch and spoke.
"Eastern Alchemy Saint? Which Eastern Alchemy Saint? The Alchemy Pavilion doesn't have anyone by that name." A young man wearing a jade belt spoke in confusion. "Our Azurebright Merchant Association has dealings with the Alchemy Pavilion in Nine Central City. I've gone there several times with Steward Ma, but I've never heard of any Eastern Alchemy Saint."
"You've only been in Nine Central City for two hundred years. It's normal that you haven't heard of the Eastern Alchemy Saint. Ask your fellow travelers after you go back, and you'll know just how ignorant you are."
An old bald man beside them chuckled, then looked at the bearded man. "It's been some time since I last heard anything about the Eastern Alchemy Saint. Old Hu, you're known as the encyclopedia among us. Since you know something, tell us about it instead of keeping us in suspense."
"It's not that I'm deliberately keeping you in suspense. It's just that bringing it up makes my heart ache. The last time news of the
