After a long chase with Nangong Chi Min, Lu Xiaotian was finally held back inside the formation. A trace of smugness flickered in Nangong Chi Min's eyes. She had raced after him all this way and managed to keep him from escaping—and now he was trapped inside the Snow Soul Devouring Spirit Formation. The Snowyin Demon Souls within were incredibly vicious. Though they lacked sufficient power to attack directly, they could greatly disrupt anyone caught in the formation during a battle. If one let its guard down and a demon soul entered the body, the consequences ranged from damage to the Primordial Spirit to having one's soul seized and spirit devoured, resulting in death.
The formation made no distinction between friend and foe. Anyone who entered it would be attacked. But as the Snow Demon Race had laid the formation, they naturally had a way to keep it from harming them.
The Soul-Repelling Stone on Nangong Chi Min's person protected her from the Snowyin Demon Souls, allowing her to fight Lu Xiaotian inside the formation without distraction. Lu Xiaotian, however, had to devote a considerable amount of energy to fending off their attacks. With one side weakened and the other strengthened, Nangong Chi Min was confident she could keep her opponent here—or even grievously wound him—even if there had been another Jiao Wuhen alongside Lu Xiaotian.
