Their failure to stop her might not mean they weren't deliberately letting the frail woman say a little more.

"Are there any creatures in this lotus pond with strength on par with theirs?" Lu Xiaotian asked.
"Of course, but they roam about unpredictably, often shifting between different Purifying Lotus Islands. Few are as powerful as you immortals," the frail woman said.

There were naturally many lotus pods of varying sizes, too. But with their auras all merged together, even the middle-aged nun and the black-robed elder could not tell them apart.
