"Since that's the case, let's wait and see." The man whose entire body was dark teal paid Lu Xiaotian no further attention and closed his eyes to rest.
Lu Xiaotian wasn't angry. Someone at the other man's level had every right to put on airs in front of him. Still, after ruling the Green Fruit Barrier for so many years, this was the first time he'd encountered someone who dared challenge him inside the barrier and whom he couldn't do anything about. Lu Xiaotian found it rather hard to get used to.
There was nothing Lu Xiaotian could do about the other man's Primordial Spirit body, but the two clouds of poisonous gas that had been forcibly separated still posed a considerable threat and needed further handling. The two nameless clouds looked unremarkable, but Lu Xiaotian could roughly tell that they were formed from the power of laws, or from that power fused with some other treasures. Even now, though they were ownerless or contained only a tiny amount of divine sense, they could still unleash immense power.
With only a small amount of Primordial Spirit controlling them, however, they were no match for Lu Xiaotian inside the Green Fruit Barrier.
Lu Xiaotian pointed ahead. Two sword shadows drifted slowly through the air, moving with steady resolve as they entered the gap between the two clouds of poisonous gas. Before long, the clouds corroded both Soul Essence sword shadows until they vanished into nothing.
A hint of delight appeared on Lu Xiaotian's face. He'd spent years locked in a back-and-forth struggle with the poisonous-gas restriction inside the White Dragon, and it had inspired him tremendously. He'd regretted that such a battle would be hard to come by again. Now, though, he could make up for that regret to some extent.
