Still, the Ksitigarbha Twelve-Winged Scorpion Demon was no pushover. It had managed to protect itself fairly well, with no serious injuries. It had merely expended a great deal of energy and looked rather battered; its actual wounds were not particularly severe.
The Bamo, however, looked utterly wretched. Half of its enormous eyeball had shriveled, and black demonic fluid seeped from within as demonic energy flickered over the withered orb. When the Bamo saw Lu Xiaotian, it was shocked, but even more delighted. In their current condition, neither it nor the Scorpion Demon would last long, even after escaping the formation.
The Great Emperor of the Qinling and the Xun Yin Thunder Spirit were allies, after all. The stronger Lu Xiaotian was, the more secure the Bamo and the Scorpion Demon would be.

But after a string of perilous encounters, Nine-Ren Mountain and the Corroding Slaughter Heart Demon had been forcibly separated from them, and were likely in dire straits as well. The Bamo, once an unquestioned authority among its own kind, had now gotten a full taste of the dangers of the outside world.
