For Lotus Avatar, the mere fact that this woman looked exactly like Su Qing was enough to make him unable to stand by and do nothing.
If she really was Su Qing, and his hesitation led to irreversible consequences, it would be too late for excuses.
Originally, Lotus Avatar had no particularly urgent goal in the Ghost Domain. Finding a way out, treasures that could advance his cultivation, or powerful ghost-race experts worth fighting would all have done.
Now that a woman who looked like Su Qing had appeared, naturally, everything was different.
Lotus Avatar calmed himself and finished watching the images stored in the shadow bone. Su Qing had fought a powerful enemy here for only a short while; after less than half a tea-time, she had moved the battle elsewhere.
Lotus Avatar's eyes turned grave. He did not cultivate ghost-path techniques, and finding someone in a place like this Ghost Domain was no ordinary challenge.
Still, there was a solution. Searching for Su Qing himself was out of the question. The Ghost Domain was full of chaotic auras, and its environment was treacherous and ever-changing. He could search until the end of time without finding her.
But the locals would surely have a much easier time looking for someone. Lotus Avatar couldn't do it himself, but he could just grab a few juniors. As it happened, two such fellows were nearby.
Lotus Avatar remained where he was. With only a slight stir of his spiritual sense, a sword shadow shot through the air and, in a short while, reached a stretch of rolling hills where the terrain was relatively gentle and all manner of ghost plants grew in profusion.
"Will you two juniors come out on your own, or shall I make you?" the sword shadow asked in
