Deep in the void, a mass of dark clouds surged. After several figures flickered in and out of sight, they came to a stop beside a burbling stream.
As the clear water flowed, phantom images of Buddhas rippled across its surface. The currents kept knocking the images apart, shattering them into pieces.
Then a new Buddha image formed, and the cycle repeated.
A withered old ape with brown fur and exceptionally long whiskers sat quietly by the stream. He looked rather advanced in age and was thin as a rake, staring blankly at the Buddha images in the water. He had yet to notice the sudden arrival of the four figures.
"Buddha images flow in the stream, and even the aura of Buddhism has merged into the water. There must be a Buddhist holy land connected to this place. Only after countless years of influence could it have formed such a sight. Even some low-ranking creatures nearby can comprehend its Buddhist nature." The leading elder with green whiskers stroked his beard and smiled. A pair of deer antlers sprouted from his head, and his gaze was serene.
Watching the Buddha images flow in the stream, the antlered elder's eyes flickered. "After searching for so long, it seems we've finally found the place."
"The main entrance is jointly controlled by the armies of the Demon Realm and the Immortal Realm. We can't get in at all. Since Buddha images appear in this stream, if we follow it upstream, we may be able to enter the Buddhist Domain."
A bald, middle-aged man whose body glimmered with a faint golden light slapped his bare scalp. "In that case, what are we waiting for? Let's hurry and find the entrance."
"If obtaining the treasures were that easy, would the armies of the Buddhist Realm
