Before his voice faded, blood mist filled the surroundings. Amid it, strange creatures with spider-like bodies, pairs of wings, and blood-red skin shrieked as they pounced at Lu Xiaotian.
Faint shadows flitted through the rolling blood mist. At a glance, even Lu Xiaotian's formidable divine sense could not distinguish how many of these monsters there were.
The weaker of these winged blood spiders could not even approach before being stopped by the dragon qi Lu Xiaotian had spread outward.
The dragon qi was as thick as a wall. The winged blood spiders viciously slammed into it, and under their tremendous speed, burst into clouds of blood plasma. The plasma was intensely corrosive, enough to melt gold and eat through iron.
Yet the dragon qi Lu Xiaotian had spread was as slick as an eel. For the time being, not a trace of it could cling to the surface.
There were simply too many winged blood spiders in the surrounding blood mist to count. The Slaughter Spirit did not care about such losses—or perhaps, to him, they did not count as losses at all.
