Zhang Hao accepted the Sovereign Space to settle a karmic debt and appointed Yang Mei to manage the Prehistoric World's Chaos branch. Back in the Prehistoric World, he recruited quasi-sages to expand its territory and prepared to begin the Investiture of the Gods.

• The Sovereign of Jie Teachings gave Zhang Hao the Sovereign Space's core but kept the Chaos Bead, which he needed to resist the Destruction Demon God's corruption.
• Zhang Hao assigned Yang Mei to lead the Chaos branch and manage the Sovereign Space in exchange for sending the Prehistoric World a share of its origin each yuanhui.
• The Sovereign of Jie Teachings departed, and Zhang Hao returned to the Prehistoric World while Wang Shu headed back to her lunar sanctuary.

Tongtian Cult Master struggled to divine the Investiture of the Gods Measure Calamity as Ancestor Minghe visited Interception Sect under the pretense of discussing the Dao. While Minghe sought information about Ying Yuan, Xiong Tie charmed the San Xiao and stirred Zhao Gongming’s jealousy.

• Tongtian Cult Master blamed the Heavenly Dao for his inability to divine the calamity and suspected his cultivation was still too low.
• Ancestor Minghe arrived at Interception Sect riding Xiong Tie and told Tongtian Cult Master he wanted to discuss the Dao.
• Tongtian Cult Master invited Minghe into Biyou Palace, while Minghe searched the gathered disciples for Ying Yuan.
• Bi Xiao, Qiong Xiao, Yun Xiao, and other female disciples gathered around Xiong Tie and petted him.

Zhao Gongming tried to attack Minghe’s mount, Xiong Tie, after Yun Xiao and her sisters showed it affection, but Ying Yuan and the sisters intervened. Minghe arrived and overwhelmed Zhao Gongming with his power, demanding a drop of essence blood in exchange for letting the matter go; Zhao Gongming refused, and Minghe’s restraint gave way.

• Zhao Gongming confronted San Xiao and warned that Xiong Tie, Chiyou’s former mount, might attack someone.
• Xiong Tie offered Zhao Gongming its half-eaten bamboo, prompting San Xiao to laugh and Zhao Gongming to unleash his Quasi-Saint pressure.

• Xiao Yi mistook Duobao's message for proof that Tongtian was secretly backing the alliance and agreed to return to the Interception Sect.
• Hong Tian assigned Zhenyuanzi to accompany Xiao Yi and took Hong Yun with him to seek Hao Tian's support, while privately plotting to seize power amid factional conflict.

• Xiao Yi and Zhenyuanzi followed Duobao to Biyou Palace, where Tongtian welcomed Xiao Yi and silently let his red-envelope system take the Four Swords of Zhu Xian.
• Xiao Yi told Tongtian about Hong Tian and the Heaven-Defying Alliance, then urged the Interception Sect to join its campaign against Heaven.

• Empress Pingxin, the Three Sovereigns of Humanity, the Saints, and other representatives arrived at Zixiao Palace to sign the three rankings.
• Hongjun summoned the three scrolls and declared that there was no limit to the number of names they could contain.
• Ping Xin signed the surviving Witch Clan members onto the Earth Ranking, and the Three Sovereigns signed human sages and Demon Clan members onto the Human Ranking.
• Laozi, Yuanshi, Li Shou, Jieyin, Zhunti, Minghe, and Nuwa signed disciples or followers onto the rankings, while Zhenyuanzi signed no one.

The real Tongtian entrusted him with leading the Interception Sect, then severed his ties to the sect and became Shangqing Lingbao Tianzun.

• Jin Huang emerged from the Twelve-Grade Merit Golden Lotus, joined the Western Teachings under pressure, and was signed onto the Investiture of the Gods Scroll by Zhunti.
• After the other Great Powers left Zixiao Palace, Tongtian Cult Master tried and failed to escape the Prehistoric World, then encountered the real Tongtian Daoist.

• Minghe recovered from his injuries in the Netherworld Sea of Blood and decided to target Jin Huang for the system’s reward.
• Minghe asked the Sea of Blood System whether he could earn a reward if someone else killed Jin Huang, and it confirmed he could as long as he was present.
• Minghe searched the sea of blood and found Mosquito Daoist in his original giant mosquito form.
• Mosquito Daoist attacked Minghe with baleful energy, but Minghe’s Yuantu and Abi absorbed it.

• Mosquito Daoist attacked Jin Huang and drained nearly all his essence until Jieyin's protective Immortal Light blasted her away.
