What a pain in the balls. Yesterday, a chapter came up a few dozen words short, and I'd already used up all my leave requests at the start of the month, so this month's full-attendance bonus was gone.
In no mood to browse online, I skimmed the news instead,
Then one juicy piece of gossip after another came rolling in,
Now I was stuffed full,
And even let out a burp.
I might as well take a day off and think over the outline for the upcoming plot properly.
I could feel it myself—recently, the plot had been a little sluggish. Bookmarks, subscriptions, and everything else were dropping. It was simply because the upcoming plot had no exciting highlights.
The plot got watered down because I couldn't think of any good developments, so whenever I wrote each day, I wanted to pad it out and pad it out and pad it out. One sentence got broken apart into three or five, and I just kept dragging it out, stretching the pacing of three chapters into six or eight.
I'd take a day off for now,
And relax properly.
