Lin Yue's cool, mechanical voice, paired with her utterly expressionless face, was enough to make anyone shudder and feel a chill run down their spine.
Even Lucius was stunned by her for a moment. It took him several seconds to recover.
He narrowed his eyes and looked at the girl in front of him. According to Draco, the professors favored her—showing her blatant favoritism—and she had earned Ravenclaw several hundred points in a single year, costing Slytherin the House Cup.
Of course, Draco had apparently never told him how dedicated and hardworking Lin Yue was in her studies. He also hadn't told him that, according to rumors, Lin Yue had killed a Troll all by herself.
"You should understand that this isn't Hogwarts. I'm not one of your professors, and I'm certainly not Dumbledore. I won't put up with your insolence."
As Lucius spoke, his grip tightened around his Serpent-headed cane.
"Sorry, Mr. Malfoy, but from the beginning until now, I don't believe anyone here has said anything impolite."
Lin Yue felt no emotion at all, but the hand holding her wand had tightened just as much.
"We've maintained basic social etiquette throughout. It was Draco—Mr. Malfoy—who broke the rules of etiquette. You should punish your son instead of threatening Hermione and the others."
Lucius gripped the bottom of his cane with his left hand and pulled the snake's head from the top with his right. It was his wand.
"Clearly, Dumbledore and the others have spoiled you. They've raised you into children who can't tell what's going on around them, haven't they?"
Lin Yue fixed her gaze on Lucius, as well as Draco beside him. "Am I to understand that you're threatening our safety, Mr. Malfoy?"
"I'm going to teach you a lesson on behalf of your professors and
