Inside the tunnel.

Liang He and Konis were intently absorbing the golden light and the energy that was pure to the extreme.

Golden light flowed from ahead like water, gently enveloping their bodies. The pure energy seeped into them through every inch of skin and every pore, merging with their Psionic Energy.

The Psionic Energy within their bodies surged like tides, while their Qi and Blood roiled wave after wave like volcanoes on the verge of eruption, continuously battering the invisible barrier separating the Fifth Order from the Sixth Order.

Both Liang He and Konis felt as if they were about to break through their shackles.

The sensation was too intense, like floodwaters suppressed for too long finally finding a direction in which to burst through the dam. Every strand of power in their bodies roared and cried out, yearning to shatter the restraints that had trapped them for so long.

"Ah He, I'm about to break through!" Konis growled excitedly, unable to suppress his exhilaration.

"Me too."

Liang He could not hide his excitement either. He could clearly feel the Psionic Energy in his body circulating at an unprecedented speed, each cycle more powerful and solid than the last.

"Then let's move farther apart so we don't affect each other!" Konis said decisively.

Breaking through from the Fifth Order to the Sixth Order was a crucial hurdle.

While it did not require enduring the near-death Three Tribulations of Man and Heaven needed to advance from the Sixth Order to the Seventh Order, the process was equally dangerous. There could be no disturbance and no distraction.

If the process was affected and the breakthrough failed, the difficulty of breaking through again would increase severalfold. It might even become impossible to touch that threshold for the rest of their lives.
