Deep within the silent space, fine spatial fissures spread in every direction. Light twisted, refracted, and tore apart within them, shrouding the entire region in bizarre illusions.
At the very center of this strange region, an enormous pitch-black monster floated motionlessly.
It resembled a deep-sea squid magnified tens of thousands of times, its entire body covered in an ink-dark carapace. Thousands of thick, pillar-like tentacles extended from its body and plunged deep into the spatial fissures. Like countless straws, they greedily siphoned the dimensional energy flowing from the depths of those cracks.
Meanwhile, thick black mist occasionally gushed from its body, seemingly the "exhaust" it expelled. The dark vapor surged outward like a tsunami.
Whenever the dark vapor appeared, the hundred thousand or so Subspace creatures nearby swarmed over, greedily absorbing the black mist as though enjoying a lavish feast.
Just then, the enormous squid floating like a creature in a dark ocean suddenly raised its head.
Several huge, dark eyes opened simultaneously, fixing on a direction ahead.
The entire space froze beneath its gaze. The Subspace creatures greedily devouring the black mist seemed to have been doused with cold water and immediately scattered without looking back.
"Babar, have you come looking for death again?"
A deafening, muffled voice erupted from its enormous body, its sound waves striking the surrounding
spatial fissures like physical blows.
In an instant, the fissures trembled uneasily. Light warped violently, as though the entire silent space were shaking along with its voice.
Boom!
Immediately afterward, a thunderous roar came from far away.
An utterly terrifying shadow approached at astonishing speed, blotting out everything like a moving continent crashing toward this region. The floating spatial fissures along its path parted to either side like waves split by a colossal ship, forcibly carving out a straight passage.
