Hundreds of millions of Boyz rode all manner of bizarrely shaped airships and scrap ships away from the ruined Battle Star, weaving through space as they salvaged components one by one. They "scavenged for scrap" while also "improvising on the spot."
Huge piles of shattered Warship Wreckage accumulated. Countless Boyz, mechanical claws strapped to their backs, reprocessed the worthless junk. Before their eyes, one Ork warship after another, all with a wasteland aesthetic, rapidly took shape in the void.
Without shipyards or the many supporting factories needed to produce parts, these Orc Technicians took "improvising on the spot" to the extreme. A closer look revealed that the components these greenskins cobbled together by hand had no two that were exactly alike.
In just a few short days, nearly half of the wreckage that had littered the chaotic battlefield was gone. More than a million uniquely styled Ork warships now drifted through space: the Orc scrap ships.
They looked like worthless products made by welding countless pieces of wreckage together. In truth, without the WAAAGH! Field to make the functions inside the greenskins' heads a reality, these starships would be nothing but piles of scrap metal.
A closer inspection of these Ork warships revealed that the enormous heaps of junk were not merely warships. They were also the greenskins' breeding grounds. The Orks planted inside them sprouted like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, growing at an astonishing rate.
Soon, these combinations of fungi and animals grew throughout the ships' many compartments. Some were then lost in brutal infighting, while the surviving Boyz were recruited by Ork bosses to become spacefaring Orks who sailed the sea of stars.
They spent little time preparing. Half a month later, the ships were once again overgrown with mushrooms, and countless greenskin Boyz clamored for
