The gravity that warped space-time constantly tore at the Light Particles hurtling along at the speed of light. Under the powerful gravitational distortion, the clusters of Light Particles gradually veered off course, guided into spiral trajectories. The lateral pull of gravity steadily sapped their speed.
Throughout the process, the Gravity Beams under the computer's control constantly changed form, further reducing the Light Particles' speed. The fragments of celestial bodies caught in the beams were affected most conspicuously: an entire planet's mass was torn into Interstellar Dust, held together by gravity like a long dragon stretching beyond the star system.
Several hours later, by the time these Electromagnetic Projectiles reached the space in front of the Heaven, their speed had been drastically reduced and most of their trajectories had been deflected. They posed only a limited threat to the colossal celestial body.
"Bzzzz~"
Ripples burst across the gravity-built shield as the Light Particles punched through it. Like bullets sinking into a mire, the projectiles—once flying at tremendous speed—encountered the repelling force of the omnipresent field and were weakened further.
The next second, the metallic Light Particles struck the Heaven.
"Boom~"
The entire metallic celestial body shuddered violently. Its carefully designed structure dissipated the force transmitted by the Electromagnetic Cannon shells layer by layer, until it finally vanished without a trace.
A conical crater had suddenly appeared on the Heaven, over 10 kilometers in diameter and more than 90 kilometers deep. This was the result of the Light Particle impact; it had nearly pierced the ship's sturdy outer hull.
But that was as far as it went. After being weakened layer upon layer by the Gravity Field, the terrifying kinetic weapon—which could pierce a star—had been reduced to its absolute limit. Its remaining force was no longer enough to penetrate the Planetary
