The Galactic Core Area lay close to the central black hole. The powerful gravity and the Interstellar Dust gathered in the vacuum made the region extremely well hidden, while the complicated space environment greatly diminished the effectiveness of conventional technological instruments such as radar and deep-space telescopes.

The sheer number of stars and planets within each system meant that there were abundant mineral deposits and other basic resources. In theory, this made the region the best place to build a Secret Base.

Setting that aside, he turned his attention to the Giant Star Gate in the Galactic Core Area, which spanned the Galactic Arm.

When the Empire first learned about the gate, it had only been through stray remarks in the Galactic Council. The second time, however, the news had been part of a major event: the Giant Star Gate had opened for no apparent reason, and at least two stellar-level biological War Bodies had broken through the encirclement of the Alliance Fleet (the money was obtained,
