Lin Zhichen continued his introduction:
"Once you take this star system, you'll be able to receive around one million Thousand Sons Warriors and ten million Red Word Warriors every month. Those numbers are certainly small, but considering they're all Psionicists, they're quite substantial."
At the mention of the Red Word Warriors, Ahriman shifted uneasily. It was his mistake. Though the Red Word Incantation he had developed had eliminated the curse of Flesh Mutation among the Thousand Sons, it had cost most of the Legion's warriors their bodies. Their souls were now bound to their Power Armor, making them living suits of armor.
"That's enough." Magnus drew a breath and accepted the offer with delight, though a trace of bewilderment still lingered in his heart.
Even at the Thousand Sons' peak, the Legion had numbered only eighty to eighty-five thousand. After the Red Word Incantation was cast, the name Thousand Sons had become all too literal.
He had never imagined he could have so many warriors at his command. What was wrong with this world?
Why could the Astartes—whose total numbers were barely comparable to the number of worlds within the Imperium's former peak territory, and who had always been desperately difficult to recruit—appear in units of a million?
"Go. Your flagship, the Hotep, is ready." Lin Zhichen looked toward the stars. Magnus and Ahriman followed his gaze and saw a vast, magnificent warship slowly approaching through space.
Its exterior was coated in gold foil, gleaming golden yellow beneath the light of the stars. This Golden Giant Ship was a special variant of the Guardian Angel-class Titan. More than 520 kilometers long, its expanded frame carried even more cannons, making it an out-and-out beast of war.
"This is the Imperium's second Meteor-class Planetary Titan. Its firepower is powerful enough to completely
