Fourth Outer Domain Battlefield, Yulan Continent.

This irregularly shaped continent lay within the territory covered by Camp 3 Base on the Fourth Outer Domain Battlefield. Fragments drifted around its edges. The Main Continent measured 1.2 light-years across at its widest point, and its gravity was astonishingly strong: a Universe level fighter could fly at no more than two kilometers per second there.

Thousands of fragments floated around the continent, ranging from a million kilometers to more than a trillion kilometers across.

The continent was not particularly valuable on the Fourth Outer Domain Battlefield. Armies from the Three Races were stationed within it to guard the Universe level Sacred Mountain, and they had searched its valuable areas countless times. As a result, the fighting here was less intense.

Among the humans and countless Alien Race fighters battling across Yulan Continent, elite teams were mostly led by Sector Lords and included Domain Lords and Universe level fighters. Very few had an Immortal among them. Large armies, however, were always led by an Immortal.

At that moment, a human elite team led by two Sector Lords, with over a hundred Domain Lord level fighters and ten thousand Universe level fighters, was locked in battle with a Mechanical Race team.

High above, the two human Sector Lords fought a Mechanical Race Sector Lord together. Neither side could gain the upper hand.

Below, groups of a hundred Universe level fighters supported each Domain Lord as they clashed with their counterparts.

The battle was fierce. Every so often, another Universe level fighter fell.

Suddenly, the Mechanical Race Sector Lord abandoned some of his Mechanical Puppets, leaving them to hold off the two human Sector Lords while he retreated.

At the same time, he sent a mental message ordering his team below to withdraw.

By the time the human Sector Lords destroyed the puppets blocking them, most of the Mechanical Race soldiers below had already left the battlefield.

"Human Sector Lords, let's stop fighting. I've received orders from my army to withdraw from Yulan Continent and clear the battlefield for the Sacred Mountain Battle. You should be getting your orders soon." The Mechanical Race Sector Lord watched them as he spoke, while his soldiers hurried to break away from the fighting.

His words immediately reminded the two human Sector Lords of the news about the Sacred Mountain Battle that had recently spread through the Virtual Universe.

Just then, both of their Intelligent Lives relayed a message. The Cosmic Army on the Fourth Outer Domain Battlefield had ordered every human team on Yulan Continent to leave within seven days. After that, King-level Immortals from the Three Races would clear the continent. Anyone who remained might be killed.

A huge red exclamation mark flashed on the message, underscoring its urgency.

The two human Sector Lords immediately ordered their soldiers to disengage.

Moments later, both sides had broken off the battle.

The Mechanical Race Sector Lord took his soldiers into his World Ring, released an E-Class Spaceship, and boarded it.

The ship flew into the distance and vanished.

Seeing him leave, the human Sector Lords took their own soldiers into a World Ring and boarded a spaceship. A moment later, it streaked toward the edge of Yulan Continent.

Meanwhile, every Human Race, Demon Race, and Mechanical Race team adventuring or fighting on Yulan Continent received orders to withdraw. They began leaving at once.

Many fighters from other races saw the Three Races pulling out. Those with useful contacts asked friends among them what was happening, then raced to leave the continent.

While others with no such contacts were still puzzling over the withdrawal, disaster struck!

Seven days after the order to withdraw, thirty King-level Immortals from each of the Three Races flew out from the armies guarding the Universe level Sacred Mountain.

Each carried a powerful military scanner and followed a designated route across the continent.

Whenever they found an Alien Race team that had failed to leave, the King-level Immortals attacked without hesitation and killed them.

Even teams with an Immortal among them were shown no mercy. Whether they pleaded or tried to flee, the King-level Immortals killed them all.

The slaughter lasted nearly three months. The King-level Immortals scanned every region of Yulan Continent several times. By the end, no living beings remained there apart from the armies of the Three Races.

They cleared the entire continent partly to prevent anyone from disrupting the Sacred Mountain Battle. It was also a declaration of the Three Races' dominance over the Fourth Outer Domain Battlefield—a warning to other races to think twice before opposing their teams there.

Such was the ruthless authority of the universe's Peak Clans. They cared nothing for what other races thought.

Fourth Outer Domain Battlefield, Tongfeng Team's residential estate.

Ding!

Li Ze was cultivating quietly when a message arrived from Lairui'er, captain of the Tongfeng Team.

"Li Ze, the Sacred Mountain Battle is about to begin. Report to the central square of the base immediately." That was all the message said.

After reading it, Li Ze went straight outside the estate's castle and shot into the sky toward the central square.

He flew over the square, found Lairui'er at the location he had sent, and landed.

At Lairui'er's direction, Li Ze quickly took his place behind him. More than half the team had already arrived. They stood in solemn silence behind their captain.

Many soldiers of the First Brigade stood in the square, all wearing battle armor, though most were not dressed in standard military issue. More soldiers were still arriving from the sky.

Four minutes later, nearly every team position on the ground was occupied, and the arrivals overhead grew fewer.

Another minute passed. No more soldiers came.

Nearly a thousand Universe level soldiers stood in the square without making a sound.

Li Ze surveyed the assembled teams and noticed that not all of them had ten members.

Only ten teams had a ten-person roster, and even those were not all at full strength. Several, like the Tongfeng Team, were short one or two members. They had suffered losses in recent battles and had yet to replace them.

These ten-person teams consisted entirely of Universe Level Generals. They were the strongest fighters in the First Brigade.

Another thirty teams stood nearby, each with thirty members. Most were at full strength.

Those teams consisted entirely of soldiers just below the rank of Universe Level General. Their individual combat strength was relatively low, so forming thirty-person teams let them fight more effectively.

After another five minutes, Lu Feng, commander of the First Brigade, appeared before them, his expression grave.

"I'll keep this brief. Our 5th Universe Level Legion has been allotted ten thousand places in the Sacred Mountain Battle. As the legion's strongest unit, the entire First Brigade will take part! The Legion Commander will be here shortly to take you to the assembly point. I hope you win glory!"

Lu Feng's gaze swept over every soldier in the square.

"Come back alive!" Those were his last words to them.

Whenever the whole First Brigade went to war, Lu Feng felt a deep pain. He sent familiar faces into battle knowing some would never return. These soldiers were unlike Immortal Level experts or monstrous geniuses, who might still be resurrected after death.

For ordinary soldiers of the Cosmic Army, death was final.

Lu Feng said no more. He stood in the air before them.

Boom!

An immense pressure descended as a figure appeared.

Xizes, the 5th Cosmic Legion's Legion Commander and God Hammer Marquis, appeared beside Lu Feng.

He said nothing. After glancing at Lu Feng and giving a nod, he looked down at the soldiers. With a wave of his hand, he swept them all into his World Ring.

Then he vanished from the First Brigade's square.

"Come back alive," Lu Feng murmured, looking at the place where the Legion Commander had disappeared.

After Xizes took them into his World Ring, the members of the First Brigade found themselves on a grassland.

The space inside the World Ring was like a world of its own. It stretched over a thousand kilometers in length, width, and height.

"Everyone, wait inside the World Ring. Once all participating soldiers of the legion have assembled, we will proceed to the Sacred Mountain Battle assembly point."

The voice that rang through the World Ring belonged to Xizes.

Under their captains' direction, the teams rested where they stood.

Time passed quickly. As they rested inside Xizes's World Ring, more teams of Universe level fighters appeared from time to time.

They were all Elite Universe Level Warriors from the legion, organized into teams of a hundred. Unlike the teams of Universe Level Generals or those just below that rank, these elite fighters were far weaker. They would face a severe disadvantage in the coming Sacred Mountain Battle; even in teams of a hundred, they would be in great danger.

A few of the new arrivals looked excited or calm, but most showed a trace of fear.

As time passed, the number of Universe level fighters in the World Ring continued to grow.

Soon, all ten thousand participants from the 5th Legion had been brought in.

They waited quietly inside the World Ring.

Another wave of mild dizziness came over Li Ze.

When it passed, he and everyone else from the World Ring stood inside a metal military base.

The base was smaller than Barracks Base No. 7. It covered only about ten thousand kilometers and looked more like a temporary camp, with many facilities still incomplete.

All ten thousand participants from the 5th Legion stood together in one section of a metal square.

Legion Commander Xizes stood before them.

Looking around the other sections, Li Ze saw Immortal Legion Commanders standing with groups of ten thousand Universe level soldiers.

As time went on, more Universe level soldiers appeared in the square under the command of one Immortal Legion Commander after another.

When the hundredth Immortal Legion Commander placed his soldiers in the square, the total number of Universe level fighters reached one million.

Just then, a group flew out of a metal tower several hundred meters tall inside the base.

At their head was King Huilei, the man in charge of this Sacred Mountain Battle.

Behind him flew thirty humans of various appearances: the King-level Immortals who had cleared the continent.

King Huilei descended over the square and stopped fifty meters above the ground.

"Greetings, warriors who are about to enter the Sacred Mountain Battle!" His deep voice rang in everyone's ears.

"I am King Huilei, and I am in charge of this Sacred Mountain Battle," he announced from the sky.

Only then did they get a clear look at him. He stood over three meters tall, with a single horn on his head that glimmered with traces of lightning. His face was dark red, and he wore black battle armor.

To be continued.
