The dense clouds high above had been gathering for some time, but Jigen hadn't paid them any attention.

The lightning itself was formed from natural forces. Sasuke's Fire Style had only accelerated the buildup of electrical energy in the clouds, while the final Chakra guidance merely pinpointed the target.

the enormous pillar of lightning wasn't made of Chakra, so Jigen's Karma couldn't absorb it.
