But the crisis wasn't over. Wounded as he was, Isshiki had less than three hours left to live.

With so little time, he couldn't even think about returning to Konoha to reclaim a suitable vessel, Kawaki.

Just the injuries and condition he was in would take longer than that to fully recover from.

Going up against that monstrous Six Paths Sasuke again would be no different from asking for death.
