Code: This Advantage Is Mine!

Inside Konoha's highest-level Conference Room, Hokage Code had just finished an online meeting with the other Three Kage. Furious, he slammed his palm down and shattered the wooden table in front of him.

"Smack—!"

"A bunch of insolent lowly beasts!"

Code seethed with rage. There had been nothing unusual about the meeting: they had discussed forming a four-country, four-village Shinobi Alliance, raising an army, and attacking Kirigakure, which had been occupied by the Shell Organization.

Code knew nothing about the so-called Ninja Village alliances or the Shinobi Alliance, and he had no interest in studying the details of the shinobi pact.

He had basically agreed without a second thought to every condition and agreement proposed by the other three Kage.

He had even made Konoha and the Land of Fire cover most of the alliance's expenses, a considerable loss.

Of course, those losses were insignificant in Code's eyes. Konoha was only a temporary tool to him, and he didn't care how much wear and tear it suffered.

So the meeting had gone very smoothly at first.

But then—

When it came time to decide who would lead the alliance, an argument broke out for once.

Code, who wanted to control every country and gather shinobi to surround and eliminate Sasuke, was naturally determined to claim the leadership position.

Unfortunately, although he had stated that he wanted to lead the alliance, the other three Kage had all rejected him.

The reason was simple: the new Eighth Acting Hokage was too young.

In the eyes of the other three Kage, he simply wasn't qualified for the role.

If the Hokage were still "Jigen Uzumaki"—that is, the Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki in everyone else's memories—then the alliance leadership would naturally belong to "Jigen Uzumaki."

But Code was only "Jigen Uzumaki's" son.
