The fierce battle and explosions sent waves of shock rippling outward.

The battle between the Eight-Tails and Boruto and Kawaki was exceptionally intense. Luckily, this was an uninhabited area; otherwise, the fighting alone would have been enough to destroy half of Kumogakure.

But the situation was extremely unfavorable for Boruto and Kawaki.

Although Boruto and Kawaki had given it everything they had, they still couldn't defeat the Eight-Tails. Even getting through its defenses was a struggle.

At most, they could leave a few tiny wounds on the Eight-Tails—so minor they were practically negligible.

It was obvious.

Compared to the entire Eight-Tails, the two of them were still far too weak.

One was twelve, and the other only fourteen.

They were barely old enough to have graduated from the Ninja Academy, yet they had to fight an enemy like the Eight-Tails Gyūki, one of the strongest beneath the Super Kage level. It was simply too much for them!

It was like telling Naruto during the Chunin Ninja Exams, "Go kill Jiraiya, one of the Sannin!"

And besides,

Gyūki had all eight of his tails occupied protecting the Chakra Cannon. The Eight-Tails had effectively been deprived of nearly half its strength and offensive advantage.

If all eight tails were free to attack, Boruto and Kawaki probably wouldn't last more than a few exchanges.

"Damn it, this guy's too strong!"

Covered in wounds, Kawaki was blown away yet again by the gale created when the Eight-Tails waved its hand. He landed in a miserable heap and roared in frustration.

Just a wave of its hand unleashed power comparable to an A-rank Wind Release technique. How were their little bodies supposed to fight that?
