The Unflappable Code

"Code!!!"

Kawaki cried out, his face changing dramatically.

Itachi had never met Code, but he knew who he was as soon as he heard the name.

Code had officially stolen Boruto's identity. He was Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's adopted son, and Konoha's nominal Eighth Acting Hokage.

Code was incredibly fast and had a clear target.

He charged straight at Boruto and Kawaki, intent on abducting the two 'prized catches.'

Boruto had just come out of Karma Mode. His Chakra and spirit were nearly depleted, leaving him with little fighting strength.

Kawaki, on the other hand, was in good shape, so he immediately sprang into action, rushing at Code to stop him.

Clang—!

The weaponized spike formed from Kawaki's arm collided with the weaponized claws formed from Code's fingers. The tremendous force sent sparks flying and knocked them both back!

A flicker of astonishment crossed Code's eyes.

He couldn't believe that Kawaki could still go toe-to-toe with him in his normal state, even without the power of Karma.

Was it those strange blue-black markings on his body? A boost from Orochimaru's cursed seal?

Damn it, had this guy become Orochimaru's vessel?!!

That was Code's prized possession!

Furious, Code nevertheless kept his head. Seeing that he couldn't take Kawaki down quickly, he immediately changed targets.

He left several claw marks around the area, then moved between them, successfully shaking Kawaki off.

He charged at Boruto again.

If he could just capture Boruto, Kawaki would have no choice but to give in.

Unfortunately.

Just as Code lunged at Boruto, a gigantic crimson silhouette rose from nowhere, shielding him inside.
