Chapter Summaries

Konan unleashed a trap of six hundred billion Explosive Tags against Obito and Kisame, but Obito survived by using Izanagi again through his Mangekyō Sharingan. He emerged gravely wounded, leaving Nagato to realize that Obito had escaped death once more.

• Pain used Shinra Tensei to knock Obito into the sea, where Konan revealed her Explosive Tag trap beneath the water.
• Konan split the sea and dropped Obito and Kisame into a chasm before detonating six hundred billion Explosive Tags for ten minutes.
• After the explosions ended, Pain searched the area and found no sign of Obito or Kisame, then prepared to leave with Konan.
