The monster's magical attacks were bizarre and powerful. It could manipulate shadows, summon corrosive black rain, and even briefly distort the surrounding space.
Saruman had no choice but to draw upon all his magical knowledge to deal with it.
"Wall of Light! Sacred Shelter! Exilio in Vacuum!"
Powerful spells collided one after another in the corridor, and the resulting energy waves made the entire space tremble. Karg, meanwhile, relied on a warrior's instincts and his formidable physical strength to engage the monster in close combat. Every swing of his battle axe carried enough force to split mountains and shatter stones, yet the monster always managed to block him with its tentacles at the last possible moment.
In a battle of this level, warriors truly could only serve in a supporting role.
"Stay! Stay! Stay! Learn true knowledge!"
The monster—or rather, Araniel, the former Star Speaker—slowly raised its wand. Its movements were elegant and precise, utterly unlike the mad, chaotic motions of other monsters. The wand's path left silvery afterimages in the air, and a complex magic circle instantly formed before it.
Countless starlights burst forth from the magic circle.
Every speck of starlight transformed into a deadly energy arrow, shooting toward the two of them like a torrential downpour.
These arrows did not fly in straight lines. Instead, they traced bizarre paths through the air, as though controlled by an invisible gravitational field.
"Watch out!"
Saruman shouted, "This is Stellar Magic!"
He was warning his only teammate who could still fight!
Karg immediately became fully alert.
Saruman also provided support and protection at once.
"Speculum Reflecto! Starlight Barrier! Void Devouring!"
Multiple casting.
This was an exceptionally sophisticated casting technique.
And now, it was under the control of the young Saruman. Just as stated before, he was an extraordinarily gifted wizard
