After dinner, Jon turned down his cousin Bella's invitation and returned to his own house.
After all, it was already evening, and they could not play too late. Jon still had things of his own to do.
Whenever there were no chores to handle, Kaledi always seemed busy without anyone knowing what he was busy with. At Jon's suggestion, he stopped keeping himself occupied.
Instead, he began preparing tea for Jon.
Knowing that change had to come slowly, Jon gave up on the idea of reforming Kaledi all at once and headed into the study.
Helga had finally appeared in the portrait.
"What were you doing today? I didn't see you all day."
Jon walked over to the desk and put his things into a drawer. Helga's voice came from the portrait. "Actually, I never left this morning. Kaledi told me you were sleeping, and I thought you really should get some proper rest after a Mana Overdraft, so I went to attend to my own matters."
"Oh?" Jon looked up. "Come to think of it, I remember you saying that once the Magic array took effect, your Portrait Space would undergo a major change. Has that change already begun?"
"Yes..." Helga paused for a moment. "I think it would be better if you came in and saw for yourself."
A little while later, Jon locked the study door, called out to Kaledi upstairs, and went straight to bed.
Otherwise, by the time Kaledi brought up the tea, he would no longer be sleepy. It was best to lie down while he was still a little drowsy after eating.
Hearing the sound from upstairs, Kaledi did not stop what he was doing. He merely took out a new cup and poured himself some tea.
