Could two opposing sides still become friends?

Love had reservations about the idea of "sharing the benefits with everyone," while Jon did not particularly care.

This line of thinking had actually originated from Eastern philosophy, but it could be applied anywhere in the world. An old ancestor had once said, "All under heaven bustle about for profit." As long as there were benefits to be gained, no relationship was absolutely hostile.

Besides, who was Jon even opposed to?

The dark wizards? Voldemort?

Those dark wizards did not even know who he was.

Was he opposed to the government behind Britain's economy?

Sorry, they did not know who he was either.

Right now, he was merely an unknown nobody. No one could find him.

He was not one of the "snipe and clam," but the fisherman profiting from their struggle.

By the time things were over here, he would already have withdrawn after achieving his goal. Who would really put themselves in danger?

"Then, according to our agreement, Anthony will be working for you from now on."

Greenwich University's campus café.

Howard was efficient. Jon had originally thought he would need to go back first and finish testing the magic before meeting the person who would liaise with him, but he had not expected things to happen so quickly.

"Of course. Time is money."

Howard looked at the father and son seated across from him. Love was clearly uninterested, while beneath Jon's calm expression lay a faint trace of anticipation.

No wonder he had been so vague over the phone. So this had not been Love's own idea.

After exchanging several subtle glances with Jon, Howard finally tested the waters. "Mr. Smith Junior, do you have any other thoughts?"

By appearing here himself, Jon had never intended to hide his identity.
